Shipping & delivery policy.
Learn how Geararo handles freight quotations, international equipment delivery, destination access, shipment inspection, and carrier damage claims.
1. Scope
This policy applies to equipment, accessories, replacement parts, storage containers, and safety products supplied by Geararo. Shipping terms stated in an accepted quotation, pro forma invoice, or sales agreement take precedence if they differ from this general policy.
2. Freight quotations
Freight is calculated from product dimensions, weight, destination, access conditions, and requested service level. Unless specifically stated, product prices do not include duties, taxes, customs brokerage, unloading, liftgate service, storage, redelivery, or installation. Freight estimates may change if the destination or order configuration changes.
3. Processing and lead time
Available accessories may ship sooner than configured machines or made-to-order equipment. We confirm the expected production or dispatch window in writing. Dates are estimates until the order, technical configuration, payment requirements, and shipping documents are complete.
4. International delivery
International buyers must confirm import eligibility, voltage and plug requirements, local certification rules, customs registration, and any restricted-use requirements. The importer of record is responsible for duties, taxes, brokerage, port charges, and local compliance unless the accepted quotation expressly states otherwise.
5. Delivery access
Before dispatch, tell us whether the location is commercial or residential and whether it has a loading dock, forklift, pallet jack, restricted access, or appointment requirements. Additional carrier fees caused by incomplete delivery information may be passed through to the buyer.
6. Inspection and damage claims
Inspect the shipment before signing the carrier receipt whenever possible. Note visible damage, missing packages, or broken seals on the delivery record. Photograph the packaging, labels, pallet, and equipment. Notify Geararo promptly with the order number and evidence so we can assist with the carrier claim. Do not discard packaging until the claim is resolved.
7. Risk and title
Risk of loss and transfer of title are governed by the delivery term in the accepted quotation or sales agreement. Carrier delays, customs holds, weather, port congestion, and other events outside reasonable control may affect delivery dates.
